Dear Kevin and family, my sincere condolences. I know you will hear it over and over again how special Denise was, that is the truth though. I also know how much she was loved and respected at Hicksville HS because my son Jason was fortunate enough to have her as a teacher. With so much sympathy, Georgette Gaj Basso

We are so very sorry for your loss. Please find comfort in God's sure promise of a resurrection as set forth in the Bible (Acts 24:15, John 5:28, 29). Those who are raised to life on a restored paradise earth will have the prospect of never again being subjected to misery, sickness, and death (Revelation 21:4). These and other comforting Bible verses and thoughts can be found at jw.org.

So saddened to learn of Denise's passing. As a neighbor for so many years, Denise was always kind and caring. She always found the good in everyone and would be the last to complain about anything. She lived life as we watched her energy and drive running through the community just as her dad did before her. She loved the beach... it was her happy place. Denise and Kevin should be proud of their three wonderful children, Chris, Keri and Maureen and she was blessed with three granddaughters she could dote on.
My sincere condolences to Kevin and the family. May her legacy of strength live on in all of you. Rest in peace, Denise. I'm sorry I did not get a chance to say goodbye...
