Rick and Eileen Baker always treated me and welcomed me as family. Finding out that this wonderful man has passed away is devastating. It is rare to meet such a special couple and wonderful children. You only meet a handful of people in your entire life that you know, from the moment you are introduced, that they are a great person. Rick Baker was one that I met in my life. Rick worked with his father as a boy fixing oil burners. A skill that stayed with him his entire life, and he and his friend were glad it did. He was a true Soldier of the US Army that worked in the medical corps. Rick could debate politics, history, religion or current events with the best of them and it was always a fascinating conversation. He had a wife and family he was not shy about saying how proud he was of. And you could always see his love for them in his eyes when he talked about them. Rick was one of the smartest well rounded people I've ever seen, but never talked down to anyone. Duty, Honor, Country was not a slogan for Rick Baker, it was a way of life for Rick. May God welcome you home my friend!
