ONEILL- Richard Hansen, 79, Merrick, NY, on October 15, 2011. Born 1932 to Joseph and Bertha (nee Hansen) O'Neill. Beloved husband of Mary Brigid (nee Walsh) O'Neill. Graduate of LaSalle Academy and Fordham University. Captain in USAF. Manager at Arthur Andersen & Co. and Train, Cabot and Assoc. For 20 years Executive V.P. of Finance at New York Shipping Association, then consultant. Director of Queens County Savings Bank and divisional board of New York Community Bank. President of CYO and Holy Name Society at Cure of Ars R.C. Church. Volunteer at Freeport INN. Survived by wife Mary; children: Richard, Kathleen (Robert), Joseph (Kay), Carol (Christopher), Mary (Jeffrey), Patricia (Daniel), Maureen (John); and 17 grandchildren. Pre-deceased by son William and brother Joseph. Visitation Monday and Tuesday, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at N.F. Walker Funeral Home, 2039 Merrick Ave., Merrick. Funeral mass at 10 a.m. on Wednesday at Cure of Ars Church, 2323 Merrick Ave., Merrick.
