Visitation and Church Service has changed due to the weather James Pappas, age 84, of 1409 Millwood Lane, Hempstead died Wednesday, December 22, 2010 at Winthrop University Hospital of Mineola, NY. Mr. Pappas was born April 26, 1926 in New York City, NY. He is the son of the late Gus and the late Sophia (Licusi) Pappas. He married ConstanceZorzy. He served in the Army during World War II. He was employed by James River Papaer Co., Virginia as a(n) Sales Representative. He is survived by his wife: Constance(Zorzy) Pappas , two daughters: Carol Pappas, Joan (Steven) Tricarico and one son: Michael Pappas; Brother of one sister: Catherine Caros; he also has two grandchildren. granddaughter, Sophia Tricarico; Grandson, Steven Tricarico. A Mass of Christian burial will be held 11:00 am on Tuesday, December 28 at The Catherdral Of St. Paul Greek Orthodox, 110 Cathedral Avenue, Hempstead, NY with officiating. Burial will be in Pinelawn Memorial Park, Pinelawn on Tuesday, December 28 at 1:00 pm. Calling hours will be Sunday, December 26 from 2-4 and Monday, December 27 from 5-7 PM at N. F. Walker, Inc., 2039 Merrick Avenue, Merrick, NY. .
