Mazzie, John J., Jr. Suddenly on May 28, 2018. Of North Merrick, NY having grown up in Hicksville, NY. Loving husband of Alison (nee Bahr) and dear father of their daughter Mary. Beloved son of the late John, Sr. and Mildred Mazzie. He is survived by his dear sister Marilyn Furey. He will be dearly missed by his in laws, whom he loved very much, Nancy Kennedy, Suzanne Metcalf, David Bahr, James Bahr and Kristine Clarke. John was retired from the NYRA having been a cameraman at Horse racing tracks throughout the state. He was also a proud member of the IBEW. Visiting at N.F. Walker, Inc. Funeral Home 2039 Merrick Ave., Merrick NY Thursday May 31, 2018 from 2-4 and 7-9pm. Funeral Mass on Friday the 1st of June at 10:15am at Sacred Heart R.C. Church, 720 Merrick Ave., North Merrick NY. Burial with Funeral Honors, with respect to his service in the Army during the Vietnam Era, will be conducted at Calverton National Cemetery, Calverton NY following the mass. www.nfwalkerfh.com
