Loving husband of Jo-Ann (nee Pietrangelo).
Dear father of William, Nicholas, James and Alyssa Gecsedi and her husband Frank.
Beloved grandfather of Liza, Tori and Billy; Courtney and Kristin; Nicholas and Cassidy; Frankie and James.
Also survived by his sister Maryrita Faenza; predeceased by his brothers Father Nicholas Rafael and Thomas Rafael.
A Navy Veteran who assisted in the weather forecast duty, he coached Little League and participated in umpiring.
He was a fan of the New York Giants and the New York Yankees.
Visiting at N.F. Walker, Inc. Funeral Home 2039 Merrick Avenue, Merrick on Tuesday June 7th 5 to 9pm and Wednesday June 8th 2-5 and 7-9pm.
Funeral Mass at Cure of Ars R.C. Church 2323 Merrick Ave. Merrick Thursday the 9th at 10am.
Private Cremation.
