Obituary of Carl E. Maglietta

Carl E. Maglietta, age 67, of Merrick died Sunday, May 31, 2015 at Hospice Inn of Melville, NY. Mr. Maglietta was born 1947 in Brooklyn, NY. He is the son of the late Richard and the late Fay (DePasquale) Maglietta. He married Chloie Woodall. He served in the Marines during the Vietnam War from 6Oct65 to 13Nov67. He was A Disabled Combat Marine Veteran attached to the 2nd Bat 4th Marine Division as a forward observer for the Artillery Battery and also attached to the 3rd Battalion 9th Marines as a forward air Controller. He was a recipient of The Purple Heart, 100% combat disabled. He is survived by his wife: Chloie(Woodall) Maglietta and one daughter: Rhianna Lee Ellis; ; he also has one grandson, Ryan Ellis; Nephews And Niece, John, Richard & Elizabeth Maglietta; Grand Nieces And Grand Nephew\, Isabella, Antonio & Arianna Maglietta. A Mass of Christian burial will be held 9:45 am on Friday, June 5 at Sacred Heart R. C. Church, 720 North Merrick Avenue, North Merrick, NY with officiating. Burial will be in Calverton National Cemetery, Calverton on Friday, June 5 at 11:45 am. Calling hours will be Wednesday, June 3 from 2-4 & 7-9PM and Thursday, June 4 from 2-4 & 7-9PM at N. F. Walker, Inc., 2039 Merrick Avenue, Merrick, NY. .
