Alfred Lohr, age 87, died Thursday, October 30, 2014 at St. Charles Hospital of Port Jefferson, NY. Mr. Lohr was born in 1927 in New York City, NY. He is the son of the late Valentine and the late Lillian (Schreiber) Lohr. He is predeceased by his dear wife Alice Lohr. He is a Veteran having served from 01AUG1944 to 15AUG1945 in the United States Coats Guard, WWII Task Force. He was employed by Allied Auto Radiator, Inwood NY as a Welder . He is survived by two sons and three grandchildren. A Mass of Christian burial will be held 10:00 am on Monday, November 3 at Cure Of Ars R. C. Church, 2323 Merrick Avenue, Merrick, NY. Cremation will be in Fresh Pond Crematory, Middle Village on Monday, November 3 at 11:30 am. Entombment of the ashes at Holy Rood Cemetery with his wife will be scheduled for a later date. Calling hours will be Sunday, November 2 from 2-4 7-9PM at N. F. Walker, Inc., 2039 Merrick Avenue, Merrick, NY. .
