Josephine Bruzga, age 87, of, Merrick died Monday, May 9, 2011 at home. Mrs. Bruzga was born in 1924 in Brooklyn, NY. She is the daughter of the late Joseph and the late Louise (Grimaldi) Sessa. She married Alfred Bruzga. She was predeceased by her husband, Alfred Bruzga in 1978.
She was employed by Macy's in Kings Plaza Brooklyn as a(n) Sales Person.
She is survived by her children Joann Emmi, John Bruzga and Barbara Marcone, grandchildren Billy and Chris Matwiow, Keith, Vinny, Bobby and Michael Marcone, Jonathan, Elissa and Benjamin Bruzga and her Great Grandchildren Amanda and Sean Matwiow and Juliana and Connor Matwiow.
She leaves one sister Fay LoVerdi and her nieces and nephews Robert, Theresa, Kim, Nicole and Walter.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held 10:00 am on Friday, May 13 at Cure Of Ars R. C. Church, 2323 Merrick Avenue, Merrick, NY. Burial will be in Long Island National Cemetery, Pinelawn on Friday, May 13 at 11:30 am.
Calling hours will be Wednesday, May 11 from 7-9 PM and Thursday, May 12 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at N. F. Walker, Inc., 2039 Merrick Avenue, Merrick, NY.
