Sredl, Fred L. (1930-2013) at 82 years, of Merrick NY, passed at South Nassau Communities Hospital after life saving measures on April 27, 2013.
Pre deceased by his wife Jean M. Survived by his children Karen Ann Rhoads, Fred M. and Tina S. Sredl-Niedzwiecki, 7 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. He was a 50 year retiree of the UA BTJ Steamfitter of Local 638., past Fire Police Chief Nassau County, past Captain of Merrick Hook and Ladder #1, area 1 Director of the V.F.P.A.S.N.Y., past Commodore of the Sunrise Yacht Club, member Spartan Lodge No. 0956 Baldwin NY, Member Seaford American Legion, Member of Divorced Single Catholics of L.I.
Visitation at N.F. Walker, Inc. Funeral Home ( www.nfwalkerfh.com) 2039 Merrick Ave. Merrick on Weds. and Thurs. 2-4 and 7-9pm.
Services at the funeral home Friday May 3, 2013 at 10am. Interment Greenfield Cemetery, Hempstead NY.
