Obituary of Jules M. Zimmerman

Zimmerman, Jules M., passes away peacefully February 5, 2013 at his home in Long Beach, NY surrounded by his family. He was born on June 6, 1934. He was a former resident of Port Washington NY and Manhattan NY. Jules Zimmerman CPA was a graduate of Hofstra University. Retired Chief Executive Officer of Hickok Associates, Inc., a financial consulting firm. He was Senior Officer with Avon Products, Inc. from 1976 to 1985 and Chief Financial Officer from 1985 to 1988. Prior to joining Avon, Jules Zimmerman was a partner with the accounting firm of Hurdman & Cranstoun (now KPMG Peat Marwick) and led the firms practice in Europe. He was involved with the 2002-2003 Rolling Stones World Tour in a financial oversight role. He was a Director of Overseas Military Sales Corporation. He was a Director and Chair of the Audit Committee of Greenpoint Financial Corporation from 1993-2000. He served as a Director and Co-Chairman of Mannatech Inc., as Audit Committee Chairman of Airbonne Inc. (NPG), Manhattan Scientific Inc., Natural Child Care Inc., Director of the First Woman's Bank, New Hampton Inc. Projectavision Inc.,Associated Blind and Talbot Perkins CHildrens Services. He was a member of the AICPA and was a member of the Financial Executive Institute, and the Executive Committee of the Puerto Rico USA Foundation. He was President of the New York Chapter of the National Association of Corporate Directors. He also served on the Washington based Private Sector Council of Chief Financial Officers Task Force. Jules Zimmerman is preceded in death by his son Hank Thomas Zimmerman. He is survived by the love of his life, his wife of 48 years, Helen Zimmerman. His daughters Lisa Zimmerman and Jacqueline Zimbardi (Richard). His granddaughters Brittany Levy and Leah Gumbart. His sisters Edna Zimmerman and Margaret "Babe" Gallipani. Beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather, Brother, Uncle and Friend. You will be greatly missed and never forgotten.
