Obituary for Linda Grace Mancini Valenta Linda Grace Mancini Valenta, 77, of Merrick, NY passed away on June 17, 2024. Linda was born in Somerville, MA to George and Phyllis Mancini. She grew up in Hackensack, NJ and graduated from St. Clare's Hospital School of Nursing in NYC. She met her husband Luigi at a bar in Manhattan and they have been inseparable since, married for 54 years. Linda dedicated her life to helping others as a nurse, always providing compassionate care and support to those in need. Her passion for nursing was matched by her love for family and cooking. She delighted family and friends with her culinary talents and thoughtful gestures. Linda also enjoyed playing cards, spending time by the water and cherished the time spent with her grandchildren, creating lasting memories and bringing joy to their lives. Her warmth, kindness, and generosity touched the hearts of everyone who knew her. She was the matriarch and center of her family and friend circles, bringing strength and humor to everyone. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Linda is survived by her devoted husband, Luigi Valenta, and her three loving children: Gina Pekola, along with her two children, Ryan and Samantha; Michael Valenta and his wife Marcie, along with their four children, Antony, Nico, Gian Luca, and Emma; and Sonja Valenta.
