Obituary of Carol A Esposito

In loving memory of Carol A Esposito, 1950 - 2023. Loving wife, mother and grandmother, Carol Ann (Greening) Esposito, 73, of Merrick, NY, passed away on November 26, 2023 after a 23 year battle with cancer. Carol was born on September 17, 1950 to Robert and Doris Greening in Brooklyn, NY. After graduating from Farmingdale High School in 1968, her career began at LILCO, where she worked for over a decade. It was through the LILCO ski club that she met her husband of 47 years, John W. Esposito. Carol dedicated her life raising her children, working for her husband's contracting business Armond Cement, and being active in the Merrick Garden Club and Maurer Foundation. Carol loved tennis, for a combination of the sport itself and the wonderful friends she made through it. Carol was a collector of friends. Carol was predeceased by parents Robert and Doris, brothers Paul (Samantha) and James. She is survived by husband John, children Lauren Cummings (Derek), John R. Esposito (Ashley), sisters Barbara Hillery (Paige), Peg Casoria, and her three wonderful grandchildren Alexandra, Cole and Cora. A visitation will be held at N.F. Walker Funeral Home in Merrick on Wednesday, Nov. 29, 2023 from 4pm - 8pm. The funeral Mass will be held at Cure of Ars Church in Merrick, Thurs, Nov 30th at 11am with a private cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Maurer Foundation, www.maurerfoundation.org
