Ismael “Papo” Robles passed on October 7, 2023, at the age of 66. He was born on January 10, 1957, in Jamaica, Queens to Ismael and Felicia Robles. He was raised alongside his sister Linda, aunt Yogi, and uncle Neto.

Papo married his sweetheart, Mary, on November 3, 1979. 

He was a longshoreman for the International Longshoreman Association #976. 

He enjoyed spending time outdoors; with his dog, grilling, cultivating his garden, or fishing. He loved to collect antiques. He was an avid Mets fan. 

Papo is survived by his wife Mary, sister Linda, sister-in-law Christine, brothers-in-law Edward J. and Mark, aunt Yogi, cousin Rosemary, nieces Gabrielle and Jacqueline, nephews Christopher, David, Edward T., Billy, Ryan, and Thomas, and great-nephew Edward M. He is also survived by his dog Lacey and cat Hollis.
