LENZ - John "Jack", on April 9, 2012 of Merrick NY formerly of Queens Village. Loving husband of Jean. Dear father of Jack, Steven and Robert. Beloved grandfather of Michael, Christopher and Caroline. A WWII Marine Corps Veteran, Third Marine Division on Guam and Iwo Jima. Graduate of Chaminade High School; Hofstra University and did graduate work at St. John's University. He worked for the Levittown Public Schools having served as a teacher, Principal and Administrator. He was the first Principal at Seaman Neck School. He was the Athletic Director, Alumni Secretary and Director of Development at Chaminade H.S. and continued after retirement as Director of the Chaminade Golf and Tennis Open. During his teaching and administrative years he served as President of the Levittown Teachers Assoc., Levittown School Administrators Assoc., Nassau-Suffolk Catholic High School Athletic Directors Assoc. and the Long Island Football Assoc. He was Executive Secretary of theew York State Catholic High School Athletic Assoc, for eight years. As active as he was in his busy life, he managed to find time for his growing family and many friends. We shall miss him very much. Visiting at N.F. Walker, Inc. Funeral Home, 2039 Merrick Ave. Merrick on Friday April 13 from 2-5 and 7-9pm. Funeral Mass at Cure of Ars R.C. Church, 2323 Merrick Ave. Sat. at 9:30am. Interment in St. Charles Cemetery, Farmingdale NY. Donations may be made in his honor to Chaminade Development Fund, 340 Jackson Avenue, Mineola NY 11501
