Gavigan, James Frederick, of Merrick, NY passed suddenly on April 28, 2023.
Loving husband of Jacqueline T. (nee Commins).
Beloved father of Kevin (Maureen) and Patrick.
Devoted grandfather of Kelly, Erin, Megan, Shane and Colin.
Jim is also survived by his siblings Gail Dwyer, Jane White, John, Holli Smith, Avery and Kate Rasweiler.
He is the beloved uncle to many nieces and nephews.
Jim is predeceased by his Parents, James T. and Mabel; his siblings Thomas Gavigan and Lori Gavigan.
He is an Army Veteran and had retired as the Funeral Home Manager, for over 53 years, from N.F. Walker, Inc. Funeral Home, Merrick NY.
Visitation will be held at the Empire Hose Company #3, 2300 Merrick Avenue, Merrick on Monday May 1st and Tuesday May 2nd from 2-4 and 7-9PM.
The Funeral Mass will be at Cure of Ars R.C. Church 2323 Merrick Avenue, Merrick on Weds May 3rd at 10:30AM.
Burial in The Cemetery of the Holy Rood, Westbury NY.
