Obituary of Kathleen Mary Quinn Keegan

Kathy Quinn Keegan, 69, of North Merrick, NY, passed away on 11-7-2022. Visitation will be held at N.F. Walker Funeral Home on Thursday, November 10th, from 2pm-4pm and 7pm-9pm. Funeral service will be held at Sacred Heart Church on Friday, November 11th at 10am, with Father Peter officiating. Kathy was born in Queens to Anthony and Mary Quinn on 10-28-1953. She cared deeply about the volunteer work she was able to do at the Sacred Heart Community Outreach, brightening the spirits of the homebound in her community. Kathy loved animals; rescuing several dogs from kill shelters, as well as donating to various animal sanctuaries. Her beloved Shamrock, Shiloh, and April brought her immense joy. She loved spending time outside and was dedicated to tracking the path of the International Space Station, trying to find it in the night sky. She loved watching Jeopardy and playing trivia games with her family. Kathy had two children, Breanna Keegan (Michael Siegel) and Sean Keegan (Jon Hill) with her ex-husband Jim Keegan. They will all miss her forever. She is survived by her siblings, Penny Quinn, Bonnie Quinn (Tim Colwell), Lori Waters, Michael Quinn (Rae Quinn), and Patti Kelly (Michael Kelly). Her nieces and nephews, Kevin Waters (Julian Leon), Danny Waters (Sue Waters), Katie Waters, and Shauna Quinn. Kathy’s boundless positivity will always be a light in the lives of everyone she has known.
