COUGHLIN, Harold E. on January 28, 2022 in Oakland Park FL. Formerly of North Merrick.
Dear husband of the late Dorothy (nee Hoffman).
Beloved father Brian E. and his wife Dawn, Glenn and his fiancée Deborah Trout and Kevin and his partner David Hendren.
Cherished grandfather of Christian, Alyssa and Harrison Coughlin. Dear brother of the late James and the late Clifford. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Honorably discharged from the Army as Sergeant having served during WWII. Retired after over 40 years of service from FDNY as a Battalion Chief of Battalion 44. He had also served as Captain of Engine Company 277, Lt. of Engine Company 323, and Fire Fighter Engine 280. He is a graduate of Woodrow Wilson Vocational High School, Jamaica NY having graduated with awards and commendations from Captain McDonald Post with the V.F.W. Medal, the Principals Medal and an Award for Aviation Mechanics.
