Obituary of Marguerite A. Alessio

Marguerite Alessio (Finnegan) of East Meadow, New York died on January 29, 2022 surrounded by family. She was born in Brooklyn, New York to the late Janet Finnegan. Marguerite is predeceased by her husband of 50 years Louis P. Alessio. Marguerite is survived by her daughters: Michele McVicker, Louise Casella (Joseph), Marguerite Mahoney (Thomas), and Jo-Anne Alessio. Grandchildren: Julianna, Caroline, and Ryan Casella, Matthew and Nicholas McVicker, and Benjamin and Zachary Mahoney. She and Louie spent many happy years in their Hudson, Florida home. Nothing made Marguerite happier than smoking a cigarette and watching game shows. She also enjoyed crocheting and made many blankets for her family, keeping her grandchildren cozy and warm for years to come. Memorial visitation will be held at the N. F. Walker Funeral Home, 2039 Merrick Avenue, Merrick, NY 11566 on Friday, February 4, 2022 5:00-8:00pm. Funeral Mass at Cure of Ars R.C. Church on the 5th of February at 8:45am with burial following the mass at The Saint John's Cemetery, Middle Village, New York.
