Karen Marie Miller on Friday August 13, 2021, loving wife, mother and sister passed away at the age of 64 Karen as born on January 12, 1957, loving daughter of Anthony and Margaret Orticelle, followed by her brother Michael. She received her nursing degree and went on to work as a nurse at St. Francis Hospital. On November 2, 1985, she was married to Michael Miller and they raised their daughter, Emily, together. Karen became the family caregiver and poured her love knowledge and skill into every moment she spent with her family. Karen had the biggest heart we all have known, always ready to give her warmth, her humor, or her food to anyone who needed it. Karen was preceded in death by both her parents, and is survived by many and myriad who miss her immensely. A wake will be held on August 16th from 4-8PM at Walker Funeral Home in Merrick. The funeral will follow at Sacred Heart Church in Merrick at 10AM on August 17th. Interment Holy Rood Cemetery.
