Salvatore Scalamandre, 87 from North Merrick, was welcomed into the arms of God on January 15, 2021
Salvatore came to America in 1966 and was a proud member of Local 66 for over 50 years. He was devoted to his family, and loved playing bocce, cards, pool, and tending to his garden. He also loved making wine every year with his children and grandchildren.
Beloved husband of Domenica. Devoted father of Joseph (Nicole), Bernardo (Teresa) and Frank (Denise). Dear brother of Rosa Pata, Natuzza Gambino and the late Antoinette Russo.
Loving Nonno of Nick, Domenica, Cristina, Julianna, Alex and Danielle. Soon to be a Great Grandfather in Heaven with 2 Angels on the way.
A Funeral Mass will be offered at 10:00 am on Tuesday, January 19 at Sacred Heart R. C. Church, 720 North Merrick Avenue, North Merrick, NY Entombment Holy Rood Cemetery.
Visiting will be Monday, January 18 from 4PM to 8PM at N. F. Walker Funeral Home 2039 Merrick Avenue, Merrick, NY.
