Tom and I graduated from Malverne High School in 1962. I came to Malverne High in 1960 and met Tom in one of my classes. He was always distinguishly dressed - very different from the other males in the class. I knew back then that Tom was going to do great things with his life. He was very sweet and welcomed me into the new school. My condolences to the family.

Dear Gulotta Family,
My deepest sympathies on the passing of your dad Tom. As a friend of TJ, I attended Camp Ave. Merrick Ave and Calhoun with him, your dad was always very nice to me and my family. I remember the times I dropped him an email to say Hi and he responded back and passed along my information to your brother TJ. When things were getting difficult at the end of his term as Nassau County Executive, I thanked him for being a forward thinker and passionate about education and the citizens of Nassau County. He sent me a note, thanking me for remembering him and his passion for his work. He was a good man and Nassau County is in a better place because of him. Please accept my deepest sympathies and may your dad rest in peace.

Many years ago, as Town Supervisor, Thomas Gulotta officiated at the graduation ceremony of the Rosemary Kennedy School for the Developmentally Disabled. He hired Tommy Oakes, now 58, as a worker in custodial services. Tom is still with the town and regularly raises funds for the March for Babies. The Gulotta family contributes every year.
The family of Tommy Oakes is eternally grateful for Tom Gulotta's kindness and that of his lovely wife. Our prayers are with the family now and always.
