Grandpa,
Your story, our family story, has meant so much to my life. Hearing about our family's humble beginnings has kept me grounded and helped me focus on the importance of family above all else. Your military service inspired my father, and in turn, me to do our small part to serve this great nation that has provided so much opportunity to so many, including our family. You changed your family tree for the better and the effects will ripple on through generations after you. We will miss you dearly, but are comforted to know that you are together with Grandma and Liz once more. May God bless you Grandpa, and may you always smile down on us. Love, Brad, Laura, Isabelle, James, and Leah

Dear Grandpa,
I am so proud to be your grandson, and am so sad to see you leave us. What a blessing you and Grandma were for all of us. My greatest memories are in NY spending time with my NY family. I thank you for everything. I will miss visiting and spending time with you, eating at the kitchen table watching the Yankees, enjoying pasta and a lemon soda. Thanks for raising Anthony to be such an amazing father - I am forever grateful and will think and pray for you and Maria always. Until we meet again. God bless you now and forever. Amen.

Grandpa, I wanted to take a moment to thank you for always being a great grandfather and role model for us all. You and grandma always made our family trips to New York very memorable and I will treasure those memories always. You even welcomed a few of my friends into your home for a warm plate of Grandma’s lasagna when I brought them to Long Island....a meal that they still cannot stop talking about. But most of all, you led by example, showed your children and grandchildren that hard work pays off and what it means to be a part of a great family, a tradition that will no doubt be passed down to future Imondi generations. So as we sit down to our Sunday dinner tonight, we will say a prayer for you, maybe shed a tear or two, knowing that you are home with Grandma and your darling Liz...right where you belong....until we meet again...you are in our hearts. Your grandson, Scott

To my Father-in Law, Al: I will think of you always on this special day, Father’s Day. You have been a wonderful father to your four children and always did all you could for them. You have raised them up in a Godly way and taught them right from wrong and showed them what family was all about. You taught Anthony what it was to be a good man, husband and Father. For that, I will be eternally grateful. You welcomed me into your crazy Italian family in 1977 and I will always treasure the family gatherings when we were in town. Although we were miles apart through out the years, you and Maria made us feel so welcome each time we came to NY. My children love their New York family and have many wonderful memories of visiting Grandma’s and Grandpa’s. So, I just wanted to let you know how much you were loved by all of us and how much you will be missed. God Bless you Dad, Love, Kathy

Dear Dad – Today is Father’s Day and I am thinking of you again. Since 1949 you have been a Dad and you have taught us the value of family. You have mentored your children well through the wonder years, the teenage years, and into adulthood. Every blessing we enjoy today is the result of the sacrifices you and Mom made for us – sometimes against our will. I was hoping to speak with you today but you have decided it was time to move on – to be reunited with Mom and Liz. We will miss you but you leave behind a legacy that will remain with us for the rest of our lives. By my count I have sent you 66 Father’s Day cards over the years and many of them spoke of my gratitude for the many sacrifices you made that I might have a better life. You inspired me to follow my dream and you never discouraged me from reaching for the stars. Today, as I do every Father’s day I want to thank you for the love and care you showed all of your children and Grandchildren. Your legacy of love and focus on the family will live on as we live out our lives in your footsteps. Please give Mom and Liz a big hug for me – for without them I would not be the man I am today. Your Loving Son - Anthony
