Donald A. Davis, age 96, Merrick, New York died Tuesday, June 11, 2019 at South Nassau Communities Hospital. Mr. Davis was born in 1923 in Bellevue, PA . He is the son of the late Charles and the late Ella (Cole) Davis. He married Late Vera M. Smith. He was predeceased by his wife on February 2, 2011.
He is predeceased by his daughter Sharon Davis.
He served in the Navy during World War II from 1Jul1943 to 20Mar1946. He was employed by Brookhaven National Lab. as an Engineer.
He is survived by his Brother Charles Davis and his dear friend Siobhan Hannan.
The funeral will be held 10:00 am on Wednesday, June 19 at The Church Of St. Jude, 3606 Lufberry Avenue, Wantagh, NY. Burial with NAVY Funeral Honors will be in Calverton National Cemetery, Calverton NY on Wednesday, June 19 at 12:30 pm.
Calling hours will be Tuesday, June 18 from 3-7PM at N. F. Walker, Inc., 2039 Merrick Avenue, Merrick, NY.
