Mr. Louis P. Alessio of East Meadow NY died at home on May 31st, 2019 surrounded by his loving family. He was born in New York, NY to the late Mr. Nunzio Alessio and Mrs. Filomena Alessio (Mucciolo). Louie is survived by his loving wife Marguerite (Finnegan) and their daughters: Michele McVicker, Louise Casella (Joseph), Marguerite Mahoney (Thomas) and Jo-Anne Alessio. He is the beloved grandfather of Julianna, Caroline and Ryan Casella; Matthew and Nicholas McVicker; Benjamin and Zachary Mahoney. Louie worked for the NYC DOT for over 20 years. He retired as Borough Superintendent of Queens. He enjoyed his retirement in his Hudson Florida home where he and his wife spent many wonderful years. Nothing made Louie happier than spending time with his beloved family. Memorial Visitation will be held Wednesday June 5th from 4 to 8PM. Funeral Mass at Cure of Ars R.C. Church on the 6th of June at 10AM with burial following the mass at The Woodlawn Cemetery, Bronx NY. In lieu of flowers donations will be appreciated and may be made in his name to the Alzheimer's Foundation of America via https://alzfdn.org/
