He served in the Navy during the the Korean war from 19Feb48 to 12Feb52.
Retired Captain for FDNY Fire Department
Beloved husband of Rebecca. Devoted father of William J. Popiolek, Jr., Carol Ann Ernst ( Robert ) and Mary Ann Costales ( Tony ). Loving grandfather of William, Samantha, Jessica, Alexis, Anthony, Amanda and Michael.
Private Cremation. Memorial Visiting will be Monday April 1, 2019 from 2-4PM and 7-9PM at the N.F. Walker Funeral Home 2039 Merrick Avenue Merrick.
Interment of the cremated remains will be at 10AM Tuesday 2, 2019 at Long Island National Cemetery Wellwood Avenue Pinelawn NY. with Navy Honors.
