He emigrated to America from Germany when he was 5.
Wilfred is survived by his loving wife Marianne and son Thomas along with his sister Trudy Thorn.
He is a World War II Navy Veteran, Seaman Second Class having served on the USS POCOHO.
He was an avid Golfer.
