Dianne Dorothy O'Toole (née Schmidt), age 87, of Forest Hills, New York, died Tuesday morning, November 18, 2025.

Dianne was born on April 22, 1938, in Sheboygan, WI, the only daughter of the late Arthur E. and Althea (Schreiber) Schmidt.

A Valparaiso University graduate, Dianne came to New York City in 1961. She spent most of her working adult life as a dietician, employed by Mt. Sinai Hospital, Manhattan.

On October 22, 1964, she wed Dudley Michael O'Toole, to whom she was married until Dudley passed in 1988. They have one daughter together.

Dianne was a long-time congregation member at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Queens, New York. Her other hobbies and interests included bible study and reading.

She is survived by her daughter, Deanna Kelly (Brian) of Merrick, NY; her son, Paul Block (Joyce) of Bellmore, NY; four grandchildren: Matthew, Nicholas, Caitlin, and Samantha; two great-grandchildren: Kaden and Makenna; four nieces: Mary Weiner (Barry) of Verona, NJ, Carolyn Leahy (Tim) of Delaware Gap, NJ, Leah Wagaman-Colon (Jim) of Sheboygan Falls, WI, and Debbie Weber (Brad) of Beaver Dam, WI; and three nephews: Joe McAdams (Diane) of Wilton, CT, David Schmidt (Natalie) of Phoenix, AZ, and Brian Schmidt (Kathy) of Elkhart Lake, WI. Dianne also leaves behind several grand-nieces, grand-nephews, and special friends.
