William James Weronick, A Life Well-Lived

William James Weronick, a devoted husband, loving father, cherished grandfather, and a lifelong accountant, passed away peacefully on September 27, 2025, in Rockville Centre, NY. He was 84 years old.

Born on November 24, 1940, in Jamaica, NY, William, or Bill as he was known to many, was a man whose sharp intellect and quick wit were matched only by the size of his heart. After growing up in New York, he proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. Upon returning, he pursued his education at St. John’s University, setting the stage for a long and successful career as a Certified Public Accountant. He dedicated his life to his profession and family. He and his family spent a number of memorable years in Austin, TX, before returning to his roots.

Bill was a man who knew how to balance work with passion. He found peace and joy in fishing and a competitive spirit on the golf course. When indoors, he could often be found gathered around a table playing cards, where his intelligent and wise nature—combined with his funny and quick-witted personality—made him a beloved opponent and partner. Above all, Bill was loving and kind, a devoted patriarch who always prioritized his family.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Patricia Weronick, with whom he shared a beautiful marriage for 48 years.

William was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Ann Weronick, his brother, James Weronick, his sons, David Weronick and Jeffrey Weronick, and his granddaughter, Cassie Weronick.
