Robert Reiderer, 81, of Merrick, NY, passed away surrounded by family on July 21, 2025, after a long battle with pulmonary fibrosis.

Born on November 1, 1943, Robert lived a life marked by dedication, warmth, and strength. A skilled plumber by trade, he took pride in his work and was respected by all who knew him for his honesty, reliability, and leadership.

Robert was a devoted husband to his beloved wife of 63 years, Christina, and a steady, loving presence in the lives of his children, Robert and Kimberly. He was a proud grandfather to 3 grandchildren, and cherished his role as a great-grandfather to two great-grandchildren.

He enjoyed golfing and had a lifelong interest in flying. Whether on the course or in the air, he appreciated the challenge and the sense of calm those hobbies brought him.

Known for his sharp sense of humor and unwavering integrity, Robert touched many lives with his wisdom and kindness.

His legacy lives on in the family he led with love, the friendships he nurtured, and the values he passed on to those who knew him.

A visitation will be held at N.F. Walker Funeral Home in Merrick on Thursday, July 24th from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Those wishing to honor Robert's memory can make a donation to the American Lung Association.
