I have a good memory of Sam when we went to the library one day and he showed me all the books that he liked to read. He also cooked me up some sort of bagel grilled cheese for lunch that same day. He was amazing at guitar and drums. He will forever be missed.

I am so devastated by the loss of Sam. He was truly one of my favorite people. Super fun, warm, talented and kind whenever we were together or on the phone. The moment my family and I moved in right across the street in 1997, Sam, as a 5 year old, ran over to meet us and we were fast friends. I have had so much fun with Sam over the years. Both with the families and just us. I will remember it all and this terrible time for the rest of my days without a doubt. I will miss him always.

We first met Sam when he was two. We all took a trip to Planting Fields for the Dahlia show. Someone flew in in what Sam told us was a “heckipopter.” The wordhas been in our vocabulary ever since.

Heartbroken for the loss of such a sweet young man. We moved to Crest Road and started our family across the street from them and couldn’t have asked for better neighbors and friends. The boys were both so very respectful and friendly - took after their incredible parents. Be strong through this difficult time and lean on the love you have for the strength you need.

Laura and I grew up with Sam right next door to us. Even though I was younger than them he always included me to play Dinosaurs and Barbies( he played the pet dinosaur). He had an infectious laugh and an amazing musical skill. He was loved by all and will be dearly missed.

I’ve known Sam for 12 years. And he always had this gigantic smile on his handsome face. I’ve know him thru good times and not so good times. I know that he’d do anything for me or a friend. He was a huge fan of my son Benjamin. They got to play music together at my studio last summer and we all had such fun. I ran into Sam street performing at Penn Station many times. What a talent! A true musician. I miss him. As does Ben. Well keep his memory alive in our hearts and of course in our music. We love you Sam!
