Vincent John Hogan, 92, passed away peacefully on the evening of April 3, 2025 surrounded by his loving family. Vinnie was born in Greenpoint, Brooklyn on April 14, 1932 to the late James H. Hogan and Emma Hogan (Nessenthaler). He was a beloved husband to MaryEllen Hogan (Clohessy), cherished father to Kathleen Powers (Jeffrey) and the late James Hogan, adored grandfather (Pop) and step-grandfather to Nicolas Cuervo, Lea Cuervo, James Cuervo (ToniMarie), Andres Cuervo, Jeffrey Powers and Justin Powers, loving son-in-law to the late Joseph R. Clohessy and the late Eleanor Mitchell, loving brother-in-law to Eileen DeAngelis and loving uncle to his nieces and nephews. Vinnie is survived by his sister Betty and grandchildren, Ryan Hogan and Sean Hogan and preceded in death by sisters Marguerite, Dorothy, Virginia, Irene, Teresa, Florence and Joan and brothers James and Jack. Vinnie was a proud Navy veteran serving his country during the Korean War and was extremely proud of his grandson, Nicolas, who is currently serving in the United States Navy. Vinnie was a man of principle and impeccable moral character who laughed easily. Vinnie loved his wife, children and grandchildren; they were all he ever needed. Their lives were all the better for having loved him and they will never be the same without him. Services will be held at: N.F.
