

Obituary of Scott K. Mackay
Scott Mackay, 58 of North Merrick, New York, passed away on March 28, 2025 after a prolonged health issue.
Scott was born February 20, 1967 in Freeport, New York. Son of Stuart and Virginia (Lubrano) Mackay, and he lived in North Merrick his entire life.
Scott attended Harold D.Fayette School in North Merrick. He graduated in 1988 from Nassau BOCES Special Education School in East Massapequa, New York. After graduation, Scott attended a workshop at the United Cerebral Palsy Association of Nassau County, Roosevelt, New York until 2020.
Scott enjoyed watching old television movies and programs, as well as listening to the "Oldies" music of the 50's, 60's and 70's. No one could ever beat Scott at a card game. No one was faster completing a puzzle than Scott. He had a huge passion for cars especially muscle cars. His favorite was a 1964 Ford mustang.
Scott was predeseased by his beloved Aunt Carol (Lubrano) McGuire in 2021, his cousin Dennis McGuire in 2008 and his Grandpa Ernest Lubrano in 2002.
Scott is survived by his Uncle Gary Lubrano (Aunt Pat), Uncle Eddie McGuire; cousins Kelly, Kyle, Kylie Matheson, Karissa McGuire; Michael Lubrano, Yeiry, Angelo, Vincenzo and Gabriella Lubrano; Eddie, Denise, Eddie and Erika McGuire; Aunt Barbara (Mackay) DeBree; Uncle Bruce (Sue) Mackay; and many more cousins.
