Johnson, Donald J. of North Merrick on July 23, 2017. 

Beloved husband of Patricia (nee Neyland).  Devoted father of Paul Johnson (Judy), Donald Johnson and Robert Johnson (Meg).  Also survived by his loving Grandchildren Jeffrey (Sandy), Nathan, Joanne, Tim and Emily. 

He served in the Navy during World War II.  Retired teacher at Mineola High School, was active with the Veteran’s Flag Program, the Navy L.S.T. Assoc., worked for the Cradle of Aviation at its beginning, and was an active parishioner at Sacred Heart R.C. Church. Visiting  will be Tuesday, July 25 from 2-4 & 7-9PM at N. F. Walker Funeral Home  2039 Merrick Avenue, Merrick, NY. Funeral Mass will be offered at 10:15 am on Wednesday, July 26 at Sacred Heart R. C. Church, 720 North Merrick Avenue, North Merrick, NY 11566 with Rev. Thomas Gallagher officiating.  Interment with Navy Honors at Holy Rood Cemetery Westbury, NY Donation in his name to the Sacred Heart R.C. Church Building Fund will be appreciated and may be mailed to the church.
