Salvatore Polisi on January 18, 2015 of Merrick NY. Loving husband of Susan Kayser. Dear father of Mike (Harold) Polisi and his son Bryce. Also survived by his dear sisters Theresa Royer and Marie Arsanian and many loving nieces and nephews. A Korean War Navy Veteran. After leaving a managerial position with New York Twist Drill 30 years ago he became associated with the South Street Seaport Museum as a woodcarver. There he created hundreds of maritime-related pieces while educating visitors about his work and the Museum in general. Visiting at N.F. Walker, Inc. Funeral Home 2039 Merrick Ave. Merrick Wednesday the 21st from 2-4 and 7-9pm. Funeral Mass at Cure of Ars R.C. Church 2323 Merrick Ave. Merrick Thursday the 22nd at 10am. Interment at Calverton National Cemetery, Calverton NY. Donations in his name may be made to the South Street Seaport Museum at 12 Fulton Street, NYNY 10038 or to www.southstreetseaportmuseum.org
