Obituary of Rose Banakus

Rose K. Banakus Rose Kathryn Banakus age 90 of Uniondale, NY died on Wednesday, January 14, 2015 at Cold Spring Hills, Woodbury, NY. She is the daughter of the late William and the late Rose (Weiler) Meyer. She was predeceased by her husband Walter Banakus in 1975. She is survived by two daughters Nancy Mulhearn of Merrick, NY and Kathryn Scribani of Delhi, NY. Dear grandmother of Dennis Mulhearn, Thomas Mulhearn, Michael Scribani, Paul Scribani, and the late Andrew Scribani; and great-grandmother of Madeline Mulhearn, Derek Mulhearn, Catherine Budinger, Alexis Scribani, and Lucas Scribani. She is also survived by her sons-in-law Dennis Mulhearn and Anthony Scribani. A prayer service officiated by the Reverend Lori Cline will be held 7:30pm Monday, January 19 at N.F.Walker Funeral Home, 2039 Merrick Ave, Merrick, NY. Burial will be in Long Island National Cemetery, Pinelawn, NY on Tuesday, January 20 at 11am. Calling hours will be Monday, January 19 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm and Tuesday, January 20 from 9:30 to 10am at N.F.Walker, 2039 Merrick Ave, Merrick, NY.
