Thomas E. McAteer, age 73, of 1909 Old Mill Road, North Merrick died Thursday, October 2, 2014 at South Nassau Communities Hospital of Oceanside, NY. Mr. McAteer was born July 17, 1941 in Manhattan, NY. He is the son of the late Matthew and the late Marie (Kurtz) McAteer. H
He served in the United States Army in the late fifties. He was a banker for the National Bank of North America in NYC..
Devothed husband of Irene(Bray) McAteer , Devoted father of Thomas (Andrea) J. McAteer, Christopher (Lori) McAteer, Patrick McAteer; Loving brother of Kevin McAteer, Dennis McAteer, Daniel McAteer, and the Late Michael McAteer; Also survived by his Three Grandchildren
A Funeral Mass will be held 9:45 am on Monday, October 6 at Sacred Heart R. C. Church, 720 North Merrick Avenue, North Merrick, NY Private cremation to follow.
Family will received friends Sunday, October 5 from 2PM to 4PM and 7PM to 9PM at N. F. Walker Funeral Home, 2039 Merrick Avenue, Merrick, NY.
