Margaret Cikota, age 89, of Merrick died Thursday, April 28, 2011 at the Hospice Inn of Melville, NY. Mrs. Cikota was born in 1921 in Brooklyn, NY. She is the daughter of the late Henry and the late Eva (West) Hartmann. She married John H. Cikota, who died in 1992
She was employed by Sky Chefs at JFK Airport, Jamaica NY as a Secretary.
She is survived by three daughters: Barbara Lengwenus and her husband Robert, Victoria Grasso and her late husband Robert, Carol McGuire and her husband Dennis and one son: Eugene Cikota; ; she also has five grandchildren, Mary Catherine, Maggie, Dennis, Jonathan and Justin, three great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Connor and Kailey.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held 10:00 am on Monday, May 2 at Cure Of Ars R. C. Church, 2323 Merrick Avenue, Merrick, NY. Burial will be in Calverton National Cemetery, Calverton NY on Monday, May 2 at 11:45 am.
Calling hours will be Sunday, May 1 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at N. F. Walker, Inc., 2039 Merrick Avenue, Merrick, NY. 8 lights south of the Southern State Parkway or 3 lights north of Sunrise Highway.
