James Murgolo, age 89, of Merrick died Wednesday, March 9, 2011 at Parkview Nursing Home of Massapequa, NY. Mr. Murgolo was bornin 1921 in Syracuse, NY. He is the son of the late Emmanuel and the late Clara (DiPalma) Murgolo. He married Anna Pietrolonardo.
He served in the Navy during World War II from 8-28-1942 to 11-19-1945. He was employed by Zara Contracting, Hicksville NY as a Truck Driver.
He is survived by his wife: Anna(Pietrolonardo) Murgolo and three daughters: Grace Lovret, Claire Russo, Annmarie Comstock; ;
A Mass of Christian burial will be held 9:30 am on Saturday, March 12 at Cure Of Ars R. C. Church, 2323 Merrick Avenue, Merrick, NY. Entombment will be in Pinelawn Memorial Park, Pinelawn on Saturday, March 12 at approximately 11:15 am.
Calling hours will be Thursday, March 10 from 7-9 PM and Friday, March 11 from 2-5 & 7-9PM at N. F. Walker, Inc., 2039 Merrick Avenue, Merrick, NY.
